Dr Lowry graduated from the University of Aberdeen in 2008. He then undertook his Emergency Medicine training in New Zealand, Sheffield, Dublin and Glasgow, before returning home to Belfast and completing a subspecialty training year in Paediatric Emergency Medicine. He has been employed as an Emergency Medicine Consultant since 2020, working between the NI Major Trauma Centre at the Royal Victoria Hospital, the Mater Infirmorum Hospital and the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children. His current clinical practice means he treats all ages who present across a wide spectrum of illness and injury.

Dr Lowry was Clinical Lead for Emergency Medicine at the Mater Infirmorum Hospital between April 2024 and July 2026 and is currently the Deputy Head of School for Emergency Medicine training in Northern Ireland.

Dr Lowry is happy to review patients and prepare medical reports to both adult and children in relation to personal injury and medical negligence claims arising from the field of Emergency Medicine.
