Dr Joanne McManus MD FRCOG

Consultant Gynaecologist, Fertility and Menopause Specialist.

Dr McManus qualified from Queens University Belfast in 1988.
She was awarded an MD in 1998 for her thesis and research papers on the effect of oestrogen and HRT on the cardiovascular system. This research formed the foundation for her future clinical work in the field of the menopause. She was accredited as a RCOG sub-specialist in Reproductive Medicine in 2002 and appointed to her Consultant post in the Belfast Trust in the same year.

Dr McManus is lead consultant in the only dedicated NHS HRT clinic in Northern Ireland, one of the largest menopause clinics in the UK. She is a member of the British Menopause Society and the only consultant gynaecologist in Northern Ireland who is a BMS accredited menopause specialist.

She is also a Consultant in the Regional Fertility Centre Belfast.

She welcomes referrals relating to Menopause, Infertility, Gynaecological Endocrinology including Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, and adolescent gynaecology.
